SCCF Approaching End of 2020 Annual Campaign

with $305,000 Goal In Sight

SCCF is deeply grateful this year to YOU, our wonderful supporters. Through your assistance and collaborations with our resilient nonprofit partners across the Plateau, we have been able to make the strongest impact since our inception in 2012.

March: SCCF awarded a $10,000 emergency grant to Grundy County Emergency Medical Agency for PPE for first responders and health care professionals.

May: SCCF awarded $90,000 in grants to area nonprofits during its spring cycle, after broadening its application guidelines to include operating funds which enabled many of our partners to continue to operate during the pandemic.

Summer: South Cumberland Plateau AmeriCorps VISTA Project, a partnership between SCCF and the University of the South, participated in the USDA summer meal program, collaborating with community organizations to provide 7,000 meals per week to food-insecure schoolchildren in Franklin, Grundy, and Marion counties, a record number of meals for this program.

September: SCCF hosted the Fall Harvest Celebration in partnership with local growers and businesses, creating a COVID-safe community event. Thanks to the support of 19 Fall Harvest sponsors, SCCF was able to bring more than 200 meals to 21 first responder and health care agencies across the Plateau. These meals were  delivered by the Plateau’s VISTA cohort for their 9/11 Service Day.

November: SCCF is poised to award an additional $30,000 in grants on October 30 to area nonprofits at the Philanthropy Internship Awards Ceremony.

Our goal is to raise more than $300,000 in 2020 to support SCCF’s grant-making, community development, and VISTA programs, as well as other much-needed initiatives. Please JOIN US in bringing hope and prosperity to our Mountain by making your gift to South Cumberland Community Fund today!
