SCCF and AmeriCorps
South Cumberland Community Fund has sponsored and AmeriCorps program since 2014. In collaboration with the University of the South, SCCF began to co-host the South Cumberland Plateau (SCP) AmeriCorps VISTA Project in 2014, bringing as many as 16 VISTA members to the Mountain to serve at nonprofit sites across the Plateau. Today, the community fund is co-hosting a new AmeriCorps volunteer program, providing funding for local organizations’ host fees and administrative support. Learn more below.

Our strategic partnership with the University of the South has continued since our first year. This important relationship has led to the development of the Office of Civic Engagement at Sewanee and the continued support of the University's AmeriCorps program. Since 2016, we have co-sponsored the philanthropy internship program, which has led to over $175,000.00 in funding.
