As a Sewanee student in the early 1980s, I began to develop a deep love for the community on the South Cumberland Plateau, a love that was amplified when my husband Bill and I bought a home on the Mountain. That love has led us to be strong supporters of South Cumberland Community Fund (SCCF), which is working in tangible ways with many partners to build up our community. Our particular interests are financial security, as exemplified by the work of BetterFi (see the insert), and access to health care, and SCCF has been an empowering partner for those causes and many others from access to health care to addressing food and housing insecurity and to building assets in our local schools.
I ask you to join me today in supporting the SCCF annual fund. I am inspired by the work that is taking place here through the agency of SCCF. Over the past ten years SCCF has made direct grants to organizations totaling well over $1 million and has provided training and other resources to launch organizations and help them enhance their ability to carry out their work. SCCF and its partner organizations are creating a beneficial network that ties us all together to benefit the whole.
None of this would be possible without your support. Please join me today by making a generous gift to SCCF. You may make a secure online gift at this link or return the self mailer that you received in the mail.
All the best to you,
Carol Titus
