Last week, South Cumberland Community Fund hosted a series of grant information sessions designed to support and inform organizations across the South Cumberland Plateau as they prepare for SCCF’s 2026 grantmaking year.

Representatives from nonprofits, schools, community groups, churches, and local government agencies gathered to learn more about the application process, funding priorities, and best practices for submitting strong proposals. These sessions were created not only to share information, but to encourage clarity, transparency, and connection throughout the South Cumberland region.

For many organizations, applying for grant funding can feel overwhelming. The information sessions walked attendees step-by-step through policy updates, the grant application process, and other services that SCCF offers to nonprofit partner organizations. Grant committee members were able to answer questions, clarify expectations, and offer practical advice on how to align proposed projects with the Fund’s mission and priorities.

At its core, South Cumberland Community Fund seeks to invest in the people and places that make our Plateau thrive. By offering these sessions, SCCF aims to ensure that organizations of all sizes have the tools they need to apply for funding.

Applications for the spring grant cycle are now live. Visit southcumberlandcommunityfund.org/apply to access the application and learn more about the application process.
